Fitment Guarantee & Installation Disclaimer

At Anvil Auto, we are committed to manufacturing high-quality aftermarket automotive components using modern engineering, CAD design, precision tooling, and rigorous quality control processes. Every product is designed to provide the best possible fit for its intended application.

Classic & Vintage Vehicles

For classic vehicles, a perfect, bolt-on fit cannot be guaranteed for every individual vehicle.

Vehicles were produced with manufacturing tolerances that were significantly greater than those of modern vehicles. As a result, no two vehicles left the factory exactly alike. Over the course of decades, additional variations may result from collision repairs, rust repair, replacement body panels, aftermarket modifications, chassis flex, worn body mounts, previous restorations, and normal vehicle aging.

These accumulated variations mean that even the highest-quality aftermarket parts may require minor fitting, adjustment, shimming, trimming, elongating mounting holes, or other installation modifications to achieve the desired fit and panel alignment. This is considered a normal and expected part of restoring or modifying classic vehicles and is common throughout the automotive restoration and performance industry.

Our parts are manufactured to fit vehicles that are in factory specifications and dimensions. Because we cannot inspect or verify the condition or dimensional accuracy of every individual vehicle, we cannot guarantee identical fitment across all applications.

Modern Vehicles

For late-model vehicles, our products are engineered using OEM reference data, CAD modeling, and precision manufacturing processes to closely match factory specifications.

While modern vehicles are built with much tighter production tolerances than classic vehicles, fitment can still be affected by factors outside of our control, including:

  • Previous collision damage or structural repairs

  • Aftermarket body panels or replacement components

  • Suspension or chassis modifications

  • Damaged or worn mounting points

  • Vehicle manufacturing tolerances

  • Installation technique or component alignment

Most modern vehicle applications should require little to no modification when installed on an unmodified vehicle that remains within factory specifications. However, minor adjustment or alignment during installation may still be necessary, particularly for body panels, aerodynamic components, composite parts, and performance accessories.

Our Fitment Commitment

We stand behind the quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship of every product we manufacture. Our components are produced to our established design and manufacturing tolerances and are intended to fit vehicles that remain within factory specifications.

If you believe a product has a manufacturing defect or falls outside of our production tolerances, please contact our technical support team before modifying or installing the part. We will work with you to evaluate the concern and determine whether it is related to the product or to variations in the vehicle.

Because every vehicle is unique, we cannot guarantee identical fitment on every application. Professional installation and minor fitting or adjustment may be required depending on the condition and history of the vehicle.

Our goal is to manufacture parts that meet the highest standards of quality and fitment while providing the best possible installation experience for every customer.

Warranty / liability disclaimer

Definition of Terms Used in Warranty Policy

  • Composite Parts: Composite parts refer to but not limited to forged carbon fiber, carbon fiber, carbon fiber/fiberglass hybrids, and fiberglass.
  • Clear Coat: The transparent, protective layer applied to the surface of composite parts to enhance their durability and appearance. The clear coat provides resistance against environmental elements such as UV radiation and abrasion.

This is a conditional warranty. Anvil Auto Inc. warrants all our products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of shipment. Not covered under this warranty is improper assembly, installation, maintenance, use, modifications, normal wear and tear, or storage. Any product deemed to be defective by Anvil Auto Inc. and returned to Anvil Auto Inc. within one year of the date of shipment will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Anvil Auto Inc. Anvil Auto Inc. does not assume any financial responsibility for the actual costs incurred for the removal and replacement labor, freight/shipping costs, if any, nor for any incidental expenses or consequential damages that may be incurred. The expressed limit of Anvil Auto Inc.'s liability for warranty claims is limited by the original sales price of the product, as evident by the original purchase order and invoice from Anvil Auto Inc., and is not transferable when the product is sold by the original buyer.

All products sold by Anvil Auto Inc. are aftermarket products and are intended for off-road or show use only. Anvil is not liable for any damages or injury as a result of these products. Due to strict regulations by the Department of Transportation, some of these products are not approved for street/highway use. Removal of reinforcements, bumpers, turn signals, and other safety equipment on the vehicle is the responsibility of the buyer. We will not be responsible for your own actions.

Because of the hand made nature of Anvil Auto Inc. parts, there may be very slight surface imperfections, including tiny pin holes that are deemed acceptable. Every part is inspected before it leaves our warehouse and we do not ship parts that do not meet our stringent quality standards unless otherwise disclosed.

In rare instances where remnants of rubbing compound from production appear, simply remove by rubbing with a soft dry cloth. If areas become dull, restore shine by polishing with a clean dry soft cloth and rubbing compound.

Anvil Auto Inc. requires the use of hood pins on all composite part hoods. Anvil Auto Inc. shall not be held liable for any damages to the product and/or vehicle caused by not properly using hood pins. Please note that Anvil Auto Inc. does not recommend re-installing gas/spring hood shocks, dampers, and/or struts. Damages to the hood that result from the use of gas/spring struts will not be covered under warranty.

Anvil Auto Inc. Fitment Guarantee

Please note that due to the handmade nature of our composite parts, minor alterations may be necessary for an ideal fit. All composite parts are therefore unique and any alterations needed, if any, shall be performed by the buyer to their satisfaction before installation.

All products require professional installation. Buyer understands that some products may require modifications for correct fitment. Minor adjustments may be necessary as part of the normal installation process.

Anvil Auto Inc. has made an effort to produce all its aftermarket products to fit as closely as possible to OEM parts. However, some occasional prepping may be necessary for an ideal fit. The buyer needs to perform these steps to their satisfaction before installation. If the buyer wishes to paint the products, they must pre-fit the parts to the vehicle before painting to ensure proper fit. There are absolutely no returns on painted products. It is also important for the buyer to note that any modifications or adjustments made to the products during installation are done at the buyer's own risk. Anvil Auto Inc. shall not be held liable for any damage, injury, and/or labor cost resulting from such modifications or adjustments.

Anvil Auto Inc. does not guarantee part fitment on vehicles that have been involved in accidents, have had or currently have body damage, have been previously modified, and/or using other aftermarket products not sold by Anvil Auto Inc.

Anvil Auto Inc.1-year Clear Coat Guarantee

All of Anvil Auto Inc. forged carbon, carbon fiber, and carbon fiber / fiberglass are coated with a UV protective clear coat. Our warranty policy covers the clear coat on all forged carbon, carbon fiber, and carbon fiber / fiberglass for one year from the date of shipment. Please note that due to the handmade nature of our composite parts, minor imperfections may occur and shall not be covered under our one year warranty. Not covered under Anvil Auto Inc. 1-year clear coat guarantee is improper maintenance, storage, modifications such as painting, or normal wear and tear.
